She took a moment to gather herself again and to turn on the burner, since she trusted her focus enough now to cook.
"So far, meditation. I learned some shields, and how not to grab for links instinctively, so I can do it intentionally now or not. That involved working with complex psi-patterns. If my teachers were here, I'm sure they could teach me to adapt the patterns to minimize the flow along the link, but on my own..." She shrugged and smiled wryly. "It's like swimming upstream...when everything in me wants to swim down."
