After a painful but more or less successful conclusion to Sabine's business with Mara, the malicious spirit behind the possessions, Scott tries to apologize for being Mara's weapon to hurt Sabine with. She's having none of that.

Tired of chasing Mara around the station, Sabine decides to set a trap. Little does she know when she sets herself out as bait whose skin it is the malicious spirit will be wearing. The plan, as is their wont, does not survive contact with the enemy, and capturing Mara becomes more difficult and far more of a group effort than initially supposed.

The evening of the day the Ghost Ship arrives, Sabine has a gift for Scott. Somewhat later, after they've gone to bed, Sabine awakens from a nightmare that isn't a nightmare...

Following a dinner that went awry, Scott feels he needs to apologize. It turns out, maybe not so much.

( Oh, dinner. That was nothing, caro. That sort of thing happens all the time between friends and roommates. )

After a full day on D-level, an intimate dinner for two goes somewhat awry.

( ...since when did you become an actual miracle worker? )

Scott finds; Sabine is found. The reunion is fraught, but not unwelcome.

( I don't have any fucking idea where we are. But we found each other. That's a start. )

In Scott's quarter's an awkward conversation is had.

( What day was it for you, yesterday? )

Sabine's quarters provide further proof this isn't exactly the prison they thought it was.

( Strange prison. )

Promises made, Scott agrees not to be an idiot.

( Uneventful trip down and back, hero? )
